I've had a lot if people tell me in the last few months that having their own SMSF is draining their money and they regret setting it up. When I look at how much they have in their SMSF I couldn't agree more. The compliance fees, set-up fees and on-going tax return and accounting fees do not make it worthwhile unless, in my opinion you have at least $400,000 in cash or equity to invest.
